My name is Zac Griffith and this is a film about my New Mexico coues deer hunt. A backcountry pursuit of the “grey ghosts” of southern New Mexico. Coues whitetail are an elusive and challenging animal to harvest. Their small size, body tone, and keen senses all attribute to their ability to literally disappear in the thick Sonoran landscape. My long-time amigo and I were not the only “hunter” pursuing these ghosts.
