LIFT WEIGHTS TO PREPARE FOR THE MOUNTAIN
Lift your ass off. Every day. Do it for you. Do it for your hunting season. Do it to improve. There is nothing other than hunting that compares to the satisfaction of accomplishing your fitness goals and improving. You will sleep better, eat more, hunt harder, live longer…
Zac Griffith lifts weights 4-5 days per week. He recommends using natural body weight and dumbbells as much as possible. Focus on one major muscle group daily and work aggressive ab/core workouts in 2-3 days per week. If you’re new to lifting weights, find someone who appears to have it figured out and ask them for advice. The gym can be a very social environment and the more people you talk to the more you will learn. Remember, being in shape is a journey. It’s a lifestyle. Take it day by day but refuse to quit. Zac swears you will actually begin to enjoy it! Stay tuned for fitness “how-to's” and tips videos Zac will post this coming year.
