My name is Zac Griffith and this is a film about my South Dakota archery mule deer hunt. I was surprised to learn that South Dakota not only has mountains, but it has some awesome backcountry!

The buck I encountered is one of the oldest, biggest bodied, regressive muleys I have ever seen. The stalk and harvest were unforgettable. At close to ten years old, he evaded hunters and predators on countless occasions. I’m grateful I was able to have this experience, and to have him on my wall to tell my kids and grandkids about how outsmarted so many other hunters!
