Athletes train. Hunting has evolved. Cam Hanes once said that animals don't take a break--they evade predators and endure the harsh environment every day of their lives. As a bow-hunter, I feel that you owe it to yourself to be prepared as possible. In the backcountry "in-shape" takes on whole new meaning. If you want to be successful and beat them on their turf, you need to step it up. How you train off the mountain will determine what you become on the mountain.
Zac Griffith trains almost every day throughout the year.
